I was already exhausted from work, North Coast Day 1 (Paul Van Dyke, Pretty Lights and Chemical Brothers)… but I dragged myself out to shoot Disco Biscuits at the Congress.
A chill dj-duo Orchard Lounge opened for them, then a hip-hop/rap artist named Jay Electronic, who jumped off the stage and into the crowd twice to punch people in the face (No joke.)
After that, everybody got happy as Disco Biscuits played for 2 hours.

A lackluster Pitchfork made for a decent weekend in the park, but nothing incredibly memorable. I did, however, stop by Lincoln Hall on Saturday the 17th to see Bear In Heaven’s aftershow…

The past two days have been some of the happiest I’ve had.
When a hockey team you grew up loving finally, after long before you were even born, brings the Stanley Cup back to Chicago… there’s really nothing bad in the world.
I saw my first Blackhawks game with my father and brother on New Years Eve when I was quite young.
It was Blackhawks vs. Minnesota North Stars in Chicago Stadium and there were more fights than goals. This has been a long time coming for me.
So I joined roughly 2 million fellow fans at the corner of Wacker and Michigan on June 11, 2010 to celebrate the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks!

I’ve been obsessed with the Brooklyn band Phantogram ever since I heard “Mouthful of Diamonds” in November. Since then, I’ve missed them in the city once and I wasn’t going to do it again.
As sometimes you have to do, I went to see a show for the opener rather than the headliner and Phantogram didn’t disappoint. I could have listened to these two for hours.
Afterwards, I spoke with Sarah and Josh for a moment and continued drinking…

After interviewing Brian last week, I had the opportunity to see and shoot the sold out show at Lincoln Hall Chicago. A venue that is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.

Although it’s not my favorite thing to do anymore, I do still take photos of models from time to time. This one was a long time behind. I believe they were taken mid-January of model Samantha Renae.
Better late than never or something…
Just a couple from a fashion headshot style. Don’t ask me what purpose they serve besides making her look amazing, because I don’t know.

For my radio show, I was lucky enough to gather an interview with UK superstar LaRoux in Chicago. She was playing a make-up show before heading out on the GOLD 2010 tour (Moneypenny and Yes Giantess opened). Our interview lasted longer than most of my interviews do, because she had so much to say and so much I agreed with. Without a doubt, one of the coolest people I’ve ever met.
